Installation Technician

3-7 years of experience in the field and/or degree from HVAC school. The expectation for an installation technician is that they have a good grasp of all aspects of an install from tear out, putting the new unit in place, using a crane when needed, wiring and start-up.   They should be able to work independently to complete any install that they are sent to.

Installation Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel to homes and businesses as scheduled
  • Meet time goals for different aspects of the installation
  • Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
  • Meet TSC’s standards for installations
  • Ensure that we leave the customers space as clean as we found it
  • Start unit after installation and perform checklist to ensure proper installation

Installation Technician Requirements and Qualifications

  • Completion of an HVAC training program at a vocational school or apprenticeship
  • Current state HVAC technician license
  • Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required
  • Proficient with manual and power tools
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Reliable and self-motivated

Starting Salary: $18-$22/Hour (Depending on experience and schooling)

Lead Technician

4-10 years of experience in the field and degree from HVAC school. A lead technician has shown mastery of skills in one or more areas including: installs, service and maintenance. The expectation for a lead technician is to be able to lead a crew and hold that crew accountable for completing tasks. They will communicate closely with management to set expectations and goals with crew and to handle any issues that may arise on the job.

Lead Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel to homes and businesses as scheduled
  • Determine customer concerns with their current HVAC system
  • Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety
  • Perform necessary repairs and routine maintenance
  • Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources

Lead Technician Requirements and Qualifications

  • Completion of an HVAC training program at a vocational school or apprenticeship
  • Current state HVAC technician license
  • Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required
  • Proficient with manual and power tools
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
